I love pretty much anything and everything Gerhard Richter does. One of my all time favorite painters. He's always been interested in the combination of photography and painting, and this new direction is pretty amazing. Found via Today and Tomorrow.

i love gerard richter. we just went and saw his work at a gallery on 57th street last weekend. they were mostly oil paintings, lots of white brushed over other colors, and some great yellows. very different from this work. i loved his piece on 9/11 as well as some other mosaics. we've also seen some of his photography exhibits which i think i like even better. you have a treat in store! laura www.cherrypatter.com
