i now know that this is not how other people phrase it because i have been made fun of many times. but in my family, it was called "taking a tub". and even though i know most people say "taking a bath" i am still going to say "taking a tub" because hey, i like it. i think it sounds friendly in a country bumpkin kind of way.
however, if i had my dream bathroom (like one of these gorgeous clawfoots rounded up by apartment therapy), i would consider refining my vocabulary. but man, do i want to take a tub in these tubs! here are some of my favorites...
i don't love the chair there. this is more like you are getting some very serious advice and/or scolding while in the tub. but i love the soothing pastel colors and the light from the window. 
this is my favorite i think. i love it because of the bench. a great place to entertain company while in the tub! or a very nice place to sit and unwind while you are running the water. 
this has a lot that appeals to me; when it comes to tubs i like serene, simple, and spa like. but i guess it might seem a bit institutional with that high window. who has a bathroom that looks like this?
